Grid ceiling by one click
Blog post written by guest blogger and ARCHLine.XP user Flora Orosz by Siroco Interiors Ltd.
"Let me introduce to you my personal favorite of the new features of ARCHLine.XP 2015, the grid ceiling designer. This is typically the function that we do not use every day but when it is needed it is very useful. The great advantages of the function are its flexibility and simplicity, let me show you what I mean:
In our example job we place a grid ceiling in an office room of simple and large airspace:
Clicking on the “Ceiling” button the well-known submenus show up where we can choose how we want to create the perimeter of the ceiling.
I chose the simplest one, “Room Grid Ceiling”, where by clicking on the middle of the room we immediately get the grid ceiling.
It would be difficult to create such a structure with less clicking and time.
When the ceiling is ready, in its editor, we can refine it further.
In the editor in the first tab, we can specify if it should have a striped or a gird arrangement...
plus what the size of the stripes and grids should be.
We can add to it further lamps, hoods and smoke alarms according to various layouts.
But here comes the most creative application of this function: Nearly all components can be replaced by any other objects.
For example, instead of the 60 by 60 white panels, we use here cushions.
The grid can be changed too, this is for example curtain rod.
In order to also show you a lifelike solution, we changed the grid of light reflective lamps to textile lamps - by one single click.
This is not so bad, is it?
And now, for your inspiration, here are few ideas for grid ceilings:
With metal cover:
With double lamps:
With aluminum-framed double lamps:
Wish you further good designing! :) "
