I am Klaudia Kovács, the creator of ROOL Design Studio. In this post, I would like to introduce an exciting project of mine, which was a kitchen design intended for a showroom and prepared for a competition. Winning first place in the competition was not only a great joy for me but also an important recognition that contributes to my professional development.

The task was particularly exciting. I loved that the brief allowed my creativity to fully flourish while also including several constraints, such as the use of specific fittings and the Liebherr rainbow-colored refrigerator. I created the designs using the ARCHLine.XP program, which allowed me to develop the concept in detail and with precision.

The concept of the designed kitchen was to create a creative and visually stunning space where functionality and modern design are perfectly in harmony. The kitchen centers on the unique refrigerator with playful colors that complement the otherwise clean, matte light green fronts and slate gray cabinets. The oak-colored wood-patterned elements add warmth to the space while exuding elegance, giving the kitchen a modern yet homely atmosphere.

The kitchen layout is a single row with an inverted trapezoidal island in the middle, which is not only a unique visual element but also practical. The island features a sliding counter that increases the workspace and is perfect for quick breakfasts with the accompanying bar stools. The island's unique shape is echoed in the upper cabinets, further enhancing the design coherence.

The tall corner cabinet with a rotating shelf is not only a space-saving solution but also provides convenient access to a wide range of kitchen tools and ingredients. As part of the concept, two wall artworks generated by artificial intelligence were included, depicting carpentry tools and lollipops. These images reinforce the cheerful and creative character of the space while playfully referencing the colorful design of the refrigerator.

The goal of the design is to provide showroom visitors with an inspiring and memorable visual experience that showcases the latest trends and innovations in kitchen design. The concept takes ergonomics and practical use into account while creating a bold and stylish space where design and functionality complement each other excellently.

The competition project was challenging, but I thoroughly enjoyed the design process and learned a lot from it, which I can apply in my future kitchen design projects.
