12.12.2017. Seoul - Hundreds gather at the COEX exhibition center to see where the AEC industry is going in Korea. As an opening act, CarpenterA CEO Carpenter Yoon spoke about how traditional software solutions are no longer able to keep up with the changing trends and handle complex tasks, especially now that BIM-adoption is in full swing. New challenges require new methods.

The event focused on two software solutions, Lumion and ARCHLine.XP. When combined, Carpenter reports, they can take care of all design-related tasks, from the first lines all the way to visualization.
Ah-Reum Son from CarpenterA @ BIM&Visual Camp 2019 in Seoul talks about general ARCHLine.XP workflow ideas
ARCHLine.XP delegated Partner Manager Zoltan Toth to the event to discuss the main BIM workflow ideas of ARCHLine.XP - using existing 2D drawings to create BIM models, yielding complex documentation in minutes, while also emphasizing interoperability between ARCHLine.XP and other software platforms. As a high-point of the presentation, some of the new new features of the upcoming ARCHLine.XP 2020 version were shown to the public the first time - including a fully parametric MEP designer, with which compley ductwork can be created automatically, and a function targeted to make electrical and wiring plan creation easy. It was also shown how building models come to life, using the latest features of ARCHLine.XP Live, the archviz software.

Co-speakers from Lumion Korea then demonstrated how the latest technologies running on powerful computers can give extraordinary tools when creating breath-taking visuals based on 3D models created in ARCHLine.XP or in other design software. The presentation dealt with the most recent Lumion 10 version as well.
To sum up, the BIM&Visual Camp 2019 delivered on its promise - it showed the most recent tools which are there to help with the most complex design challenges.
