Build 801 Security Update to migrate from HTTP to HTTPS

2021.07.01

  • In 2018 Cadline websites moved from HTTP to HTTPS communication protocol in order to to keep it safe.
    We use HTTPS and SSL encryption and the padlock symbol in browsers show that you are on a site that uses SSL encryption.
    This sign means users can be sure they are communicating with who they really want.

    Older versions of ARCHLine.XP 2016, 2017, 2018 require follow-up to communicate with the Cadline server.
    After upgrading, the software can seamlessly handle activation using the secure HTTPS communication protocol.
    The update is required for users who are installing ARCHLine.XP 2016, 2017, 2018 on a new computer.

2018.09.19

  • Priorities of Elements given in the floorplan keep the same priority in the 3D Views – and after copying the vector 3D view in a 2D Window as well.
  • Roof, Slab: The roof / slab with 3 points definition has changed. The top or bottom surface as reference point must be set only once at the beginning of the command, then followed by the input altitudes. New message: „The vertical distance above the reference point refers to the lowest (YES) / highest (NO) point of the flat roof or slab.”
  • Corpus marker points on corners: Executes the Change width/height command directly (restored the Build 509 state).
  • Corpus on wall: False coordinates in placement 3D. Fixed.
  • Wall: The representation of wall hatches is changing from “course” to “medium” opening the Floor-Dialog. Fixed.
  • Option menu / User Interface / Window arrangement: Picture in Picture mode is cancelled
  • IFC: Breaks / recesses in the column / beam are exported into IFC properly.
  • IFC: Import error fixed. Missing storey information with objects from Revit IFC
  • IFC Export Degenerated solid of stair body may cause crash. Fixed.
  • Door/Window: Parametric door/window handle placement improved
  • Window: Round window may cause crash. Fixed.
  • Freeform surface: Material change command in Property panel did not work. Fixed.
  • Truss height error is fixed.
  • Truss command moved to Roof submenu
  • Terrain – New input file format: Ascii (.asc) data to create 3D terrain
  • Terrain – Text enlargement command reorganized and executes in loop to set up the proper text height quickly.
  • Point Cloud: Clipping from Top and Clipping from Bottom commands are separated. Mouse right click or ENTER terminates the command and executes the clipping.
  • New command in Point cloud menu: Refresh Floorplan to update the point cloud view on floorplan after clipping
  • Profile dialog error: profile resizing with incorrect width-height values could be loaded into the profile dialog
  • Fix the crash if the ARCHLine server did not respond within reasonable time

2018.07.20

  • New command in KBB Plinth menu: Plinth by profile
  • Truss command in Slab submenu
  • Wall along spline command is in Wall submenu
  • New command in Terrain menu: Create terrain by points
  • Dimension - Remove associativity inserted into Ribbon Bar: Dimension / Edit tab
  • Plotter pen – Color assignment dialog: Pen width field is editable allowing to write new pen width value directly. Pen width precision bug is fixed.  
  • New Quick Rotate marker to rotate the selected element directly around the center point.
  • New Quick Rotate marker for beam with special meaning: rotate the profile by 90 degrees.
  • Function of four corner markers for objects columns, corpuses has changed. It executes directly the move command.
  • Drawing Comparison: Elements on the non-visible layer are removed from the comparison.
  • Design Center icon size increased - new default size is 120 * 120 pixels. Scalable between small and large in the Options dialog / Interface tab.
  • High quality re-rendered Design Center door/window thumbnail images.
  • Mosaic printing in PDF: the sequential file naming error is fixed.
  • New way to rotate 3D view with mouse right button. Press the right mouse button down and move the pointer.
  • Cursor representation when moving the selected element in 3D has changed to hidden line textured mode.
  • 3Dwarehouse download works if there are accented characters in the name of the object.
  • Wall view in drawing mode extended with displaying the tiling as well.
  • New way to display shortcut list in Browser:  Customize user interface dialog, Open in Browser button.
  • Korean version – Character coding errors are fixed.
  • Awning windows - New collection of parametric awning windows included into standard installation.
  • Alternative use of Spacebar and F5 button. Creating wall the Spacebar/F5 flips the orientation of the wall. For elements such as doors/windows, which can be flipped in 3 positions relative to the host wall, press the Spacebar to cycle through the possible positions. Placing columns, objects you can flip the reference point cycling through the possible positions.
  • New wall styles in English version based on Australian standards

  • Fly & walk animation commands are available at the Ribbon menu and in the Classic interface. You can record an animation by visually setting up views and registering them with a click.
  • When placing the clipboard content on the current 3D work plane, the architectural elements are divided into exploded drawing elements.
  • Style management panel contains a preview of the selected style for most of the item types.
  • Newly created layers are visible by default.
  • Sketch mode improvements.

2018.02.01

  • New external louvre property window with 3D preview
  • 3D Warehouse is available right from the main level of the Interior ribbon
  • Predefined scaling commands (1:10, 1:100 etc...) in the Move command list
  • New possibilities for rotating and scaling items via the main axis markers.
  • PDF import automatically selects the imported content and applies the Optimal zoom command, so it will be visible.
  • The drawing list can be found on the Status bar as well.
  • All commands of setting up shadows, North direction, location, Sun settings are available at one single menu when clicking on the North symbol at the Status bar.
  • Heliodon: Sun azimuth and zenith markers can be freely repositioned, allowing a way of setting up artistic sun lighting besides the date and geo-location based realistic one.
  • Curtain wall divisions: you can set up spacing between divisions not only the distance between centerlines.
  • You can edit the contour of an already existing curtain wall aither by using the Curtain wall / Edit layout tool or the command available at the endpoint marker of the selected item.
  • The size of an existing curtain wall can be modified by using the endpoint marker.
  • Dedicated direct commands for creating common roof shapes such as: Open gable, Jerkinhead, Mansard, etc...
  • New set management panel apears when running a command. Selecting a style you can switch styles on the fly which makes it really easy to draw a load-bearing wall and a partition wall and then a load-bearing wall again without restarting the command over and over again.
  • Editable 2D stair symbol: you can detach the 2D symbol of the stair to make modification on the 2D symbol only and not the stair itself. You can add/remove texts, lines or any other 2D item.
  • Restore original 2D stair symbol:
    • You can restore a previously detached and edited 2D stair symbol to its original status.
    • Restoring the 2D symbol removes ALL modifications made on the detached symbol.
  • Using the Environment package you can pack your object libraries, material libraries and styles into one single file.
  • Make current settings as default command in the "Options" dialog window "Open and save" page allows turning current settings into default on the current computer. By changing the drawing units and clicking on the Apply button next to the "Make current settings as default" command you can use the new setting in new projects by default.
  • Syncronia and Cadenas object libraries are supported. To download Cadenas objects, you need to download and install the Cadenas plugin from the Download center.
  • Videocard detection is no longer available, in favor of DXDIAG system command.
  • Wall framing: the full internal structure can be multiplied with different settings.
  • Removed settings in the Options dialog window: Integrated Project navigator in Design Center, Right click handling option at the Toolbox, Selection menu enable/disable switch.
