Living room with a Japandi atmosphere on the banks of the Danube
Designer: Judit Lőrincz
Project description:
I submitted my design for the "Room of the Year 2024" competition organized by HomeInfo and LOSZ for furnishing a living room space. A young couple entrusted me with the design of their living room in their home on the banks of the Danube, and their vision was to create an interior with a Japandi atmosphere. One challenge was that the foyer/entrance area is in the same space as the living room, and the separating wall between them isn't very long. It had to be extended to provide enough wall space for the TV on the living room side and to prevent visibility from the doorway into the living room while still keeping the room open. The client did not ask for built-in furniture in the hallway, but the central vacuum cleaner in the hallway, which was located outside the wall, had to be hidden. Additionally, a space originally separate from the living room was incorporated into it seamlessly as if it had always been part of it. I'm grateful for winning the TED BED special prize with my submission. I used the ARCHLine.XP program for the design.
